Ex-WH702 was built in 1953 but did not enter RAF service. Instead, it had a varied “trials” career taking part in the RRE’s “Red Setter” sideways-looking radar trials, “Green Satin” trials and “G-Band” experimental radar trials. It was sold to BAC for conversion to Argentinian B.62 specifications in 1968 and was delivered to 1 Sqd FAA in May 1971. José’s photo shows it as part of a two-ship flight in the vicinity of Paraná. The picture was taken from B-101.
